Tandem Sports + Entertainment Rebrands as Gersh Sports
Tandem Sports + Entertainment is rebranding as Gersh Sports. The U.S. basketball practice becomes the first division to operate under the Gersh Sports brand, reflecting the agency’s vision for a more integrated approach to global athlete representation as it builds a unified, cross-disciplinary sports operation that works in close collaboration with its entertainment business.
The consolidation of business units under the Gersh Sports banner is a step in Gersh’s acquisition of You First, which it announced in December last year. The acquisition doubled the size of the agency to over 600 employees, expanded its presence to 15 countries and positioned it as a player in worldwide sports representation.
Integrating Tandem’s resources, network and expertise into the wider Gersh organization will create greater opportunities for all clients across the sports and entertainment landscape, while ensuring the agency continues to deliver individualized service at the highest levels. The integrated operation will see clients benefit from an enhanced range of services, including personal brand development, endorsement and marketing support, cultural impact, and philanthropic advisory services.
The Gersh Sports Basketball division is being led by Steve Gersh, Head of Gersh Sports, and You First CEO, Juan Aísa, supported by a team of veteran Tandem agents and senior executives.
“Bringing our sports and entertainment divisions into closer alignment allows us to optimize results for our clients,” said Steve Gersh. “It’s a reflection of what makes Gersh unique: a premium agency with a boutique feel—backed by scale and resources, grounded in the personalized, hands-on service that defines who we are.”
Clients represented by Tandem are working with the same agents and representation teams, now under Gersh Sports. Clients include NBA players Jarrett Allen (Cleveland Cavaliers), Desmond Bane (Memphis Grizzlies), Luke Kornet (Boston Celtics), and Jeremy Sochan (San Antonio Spurs), as well as Hall of Famers Ray Allen, Tamika Catchings, Tim Duncan and Grant Hill. The agency also provides NIL representation for college players, including Chaz Lanier (Tennessee), Andrew Carr (Kentucky) and Kanon Catchings (BYU).
Last month, Gersh restructured its leadership, naming Leslie Siebert as sole president overseeing day-to-day operations at the agency. Alex Yarosh, Nick Collins, Rhonda Price, Bill Gersh and Steve Gersh were named managing partners. In January last year, Gersh acquired the Digital and Alternative departments of the A3 agency and has since added new agents and senior executives and continued to expand its client roster.
