Stephen A. Smith after Florida's SEC Tournament win over Alabama: 'They look real as hell'
Make no mistake — Florida basketball's SEC Tournament Semifinals win over the Alabama Crimson Tide was impressive as hell. Don't just take my word for it, even ESPN's Stephen A. Smith agrees with me and thousands of others who watched the game on Saturday.
The Gators came, saw and conquered in their second game of the conference tourney held in Nashville, running the Tide out of the building with a 104-82 rout. Sure, the first half was well contested, but Todd Golden's team simply had more gas and depth than 'Bama.
After the game, Smith commented on social media about what he saw on Saturday afternoon. Despite his busy schedule, he took the time to get a gander at the Gators in action and came away impressed.

"I’ve been a very busy man. Haven’t gotten to see too much (NCAA basketball). But after just watching (the Gators)roll over (Alabama) in the SEC Semis, I gotta admit: they look real as hell. Size. Athleticism. Shooting. Defense.(Joakim Noah) and (Al Horford) gotta be proud. They’ve got a great chance to win it all," Smith said in his post.
Florida will face the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday for the conference crown. Not long after the game, the NCAA selection committee will announce their decisions per the tradition of Selection Sunday.
