Steelers GM Omar Khan can't confirm throwing session with DK Metcalf and Aaron Rodgers

According to a report, new Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf and free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a throwing session recently. The Steelers are currently courting Rodgers to sign with them for the upcoming season so this report came as good news.

However, it wasn't a report that could be corroborated by Pittsburgh General Manager Omar Khan. Khan was asked about the report, and while he couldn't say that he had witnessed it, he was happy that it had happened.

“I wasn't there, but that's good if that did happen," Khan said from the NFL owner meetings. Khan discussed the quarterback position in great detail and the team hasn't ruled out a veteran quarterback.

The Steelers sent a second-round pick to the Seahawks for Metcalf and as of now, Mason Rudolph is the team's starting quarterback. Let's hope the throwing session between Rodgers and Metcalf went well and this might be what will sway Rodgers to Pittsburgh.
