The Southwestern Warriors were hoping to snap a two-game skid on Monday as they traveled to Campbellsville to take on the Eagles. It was a bad first three innings for the Warriors, as they fell behind 8-0 before a rally over the final four innings fell just short as Southwestern suffered their third-straight loss 8-6.
Michael Miller led the way for the Warriors with two RBI’s, while Jonas Gallagher added one RBI. Jonah Brock had two hits in the ball game, with Jackson Couch, Chandler Taylor and Pierce Jasper all adding one apiece. Couch had the loss on the mound, going two innings while allowing seven runs on five hits with four walks. Benjamin Stewart pitched four innings in relief, allowing just one run on one hit with three walks and one strikeout.
Southwestern falls to 4-6 and will next travel to Garrard County on Thursday.
