Josie VanFossen’s four hits led a 22-hit attack for the Northridge softball team Tuesday, and she also scored three runs and drove in three, fueling the Vikings in a 22-12 victory at Tree of Life.
Kaylee Goodwin added three hits and three runs, Camryn Moore two hits and three RBIs, Kadence Adkins two hits and three runs and Ellie Reese three hits and a run for the Vikings (1-2). Reese also struck out four and allowed two earned runs in two innings.
Lakewood cruises
Carly Williams and Cora Redman each tripled, combining for seven hits, six runs and five RBIs out of the top two spots in the Lakewood order during the Lancers’ 17-1 victory at Bexley.
Riley Williams added two hits and four RBIs, Briana Hoisington two hits and three runs and Bailey Maidel two hits and two runs for the Lancers (2-0). Averie Adams struck out two in three one-hit scoreless innings.
Liberty falls at Millersport
Jerynn Miller hit a two-run triple for Liberty Christian in a 20-3 season-opening loss at Millersport.
Audrey Soliday added a hit and an RBI, and Madison Looney and Riley Kidd each scored a run for the Eagles.
Heath falls on road
Savannah Lawson doubled as a part of 3 for 3 performance for Heath in a 11-1 loss at Bloom-Carroll.
Shelby Moore singled home Lawson for the Bulldogs (1-1).
Heights drops road game
Licking Heights (1-1) was limited to four singles in a 12-0 loss at West Jefferson.
