The New York Jets have had a noteworthy follow-up meeting, of sorts, with Quinn Ewers.
Ewers is a 2025 NFL draft prospect from the University at Texas. The quarterback position will always grab more eyes than others, and this is the case here.
The Jets had plenty of the team's front office at the Texas Pro Day last week. Included in that bunch was head coach Aaron Glenn, according to a report from ESPN.
A team showing up to a Pro Day is not surprising. A big name from the staff, such as the head coach, is noteworthy:
The #Jets have a presence today at the @TexasFootball pro day. Coach Aaron Glenn and co-director of player personnel Jon Carr among those on hand to see the Longhorns’ bevy of prospects, notably WR Matthew Golden and QB Quinn Ewers.

Doubling the interest in Glenn taking part in the Pro Day is the reporting that Ewers had a pre-draft meeting with the Jets prior to the Pro Day. That indicates some pretty serious interest New York has in the QB.
Ewers put up a productive campaign in 2024, leading the NCAA with 31 touchdown passes. The junior had 3,472 passing yards and completed 65.8 percent of his passes as well.
NFL.com has a mixed draft profile on Ewers. His arm talent is praised but his consistency is knocked. The Draft Network considers him a Day 2 pick at the upcoming draft.
Despite signing Justin Fields during the first wave of free agency, he only inked a two-year deal in New York. Ewers or another potential 2025 QB prospect could end up being a longer-term solution for the team as opposed to Fields.
