The Arsenal head coach secures her third WSL Manager of the Month award after an unbeaten March that included four league wins and progress in Europe.
Renée Slegers has been named the Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month for March.
This is the third time Slegers has received the award since taking charge in October 2024, and her second consecutive win, following previous victories in February 2025 and December 2024.
The month began with a dramatic 4–3 comeback win over West Ham at Meadow Park on 2 March, followed by a 3–1 away victory against Everton on 14 March.
A commanding 4–0 triumph over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium in front of more than 35,000 supporters on 22 March demonstrated the team’s dominance, before another 4–0 win, this time away to Crystal Palace on 30 March, rounded off a flawless run of league results.
That same month, Arsenal also progressed to the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals with a 3–2 aggregate win over Real Madrid.
Here are some key statistics from Slegers’ tenure as head coach:
Slegers’ appointment has been a remarkable success story.
Initially brought in as interim head coach, she quickly stabilised the squad and, since being given the role on a permanent basis, has led Arsenal to the Champions League semi-finals and into second place in the Women’s Super League.
Let’s hope she can enjoy successful months in April and May as well, to push as close as possible to the WSL title and secure a place in the Champions League final.
