Real Madrid Manager Confirms ‘We Are Closely Following” Como Prodigy Amid Inter Milan Links
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti opened up on the club’s pursuit of Inter Milan’s dream signing Nico Paz.
Speaking to TMW via FCInterNews, Ancelotti admitted Los Blancos could activate a buyback clause in Paz’s deal.
Ancelotti’s team sold Nico Paz to Como last summer but secured a way to bring him back to Madrid.
Indeed, Los Merengues can re-sign the 20-year-old for only €9 million at the end of the season.
Considering Paz’s formidable form in Serie A, that looks like the only reasonable decision for La Liga’s defending champions.
However, the Argentine starlet has enjoyed life in Italy and could be keen to stay in the country beyond the summer.
Furthermore, Inter are hellbent on taking him to the San Siro at all costs.
Unfortunately, Real Madrid can beat the Italian giants to the punch.
Carlo Ancelotti Confirms Real Madrid Interest in Inter Milan Target Nico Paz
Asked about Real Madrid’s stance on Como star, Carlo Ancelotti replied: “Nico Paz is one of our young players, and we are monitoring him closely.
“He’s doing very well, which doesn’t surprise us because he is very talented.
“We will decide what to do at the end of the season,” Ancelotti concluded.
Paz has taken Serie A by storm this term, developing into one of the league’s standout performers.
Despite his young age, he has been the mainstay of Cesc Fabregas’ early success in the Como dugout.
Therefore, the top-flight newcomers are eager to secure Paz’s permanent stay at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia.
However, that could be easier said than done, even though they have the means to retain his services.
First and foremost, they must negotiate terms with Real Madrid.
