Rams' Stan Kroenke among NFL owners 'willing to do what it takes to win'

Stan Kroenke gained majority owner of the Rams almost 15 years ago. Since then, the Rams have moved back to Los Angeles, made the playoffs six times, advanced to two Super Bowls and won one of them.

That's a solid return on investment for an owner, and Kroenke doesn't seem quite done yet. He and the Rams decided to keep Matthew Stafford, re-signed left tackle Alaric Jackson and added All-Pro receiver Davante Adams in free agency this spring as they attempt to defend their NFC West crown.

It's for these reasons and more that The Athletic's Mike Jones added Kroenke to the list of NFL owners who are "willing to do what it takes to win."

Jones wrote that the Rams "have been one of the NFL’s top franchises for the better part of the last decade, and owner Stan Kroenke continues to put his trust in GM Les Snead and coach Sean McVay. The Rams this offseason gave quarterback Matthew Stafford a new contract, signed wide receiver Davante Adams in free agency and look like early favorites to win the NFC West."

This offseason is just the first of several all-in springs for Kroenke and general manager Les Snead. Remember, the Rams didn't have a first-round pick for seven seasons between 2017 and 2024 because of a litany of major moves that included trading for Stafford, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, wide receiver Brandin Cooks and cornerback Marcus Peters, among others.

The results have been great and the Rams are poised to make another stab at the Super Bowl in 2025.
