Pro Football Focus shares favorite 49ers NFL free agency move
San Francisco hasn't made a bevy of moves in NFL free agency.
But, the 49ers did bring in one veteran skill player that figures to factor into the equation in 2025. San Francisco inked eight-year NFL veteran and former NFC West rival Demarcus Robinson to help bolster its wide receiving corps. Robinson inked with San Francisco on a two-year, $9.5 million deal after spending the past two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams.
Pro Football Focus acknowledged the signing of Robinson as their favorite free agency acquisition for the 49ers.
A crowded offense full of weapons in San Francisco will likely limit Robinson’s snaps, but he profiles well as a reliable pass catcher in a reserve role. Across the past two seasons, he has dropped just two of his 66 catchable passes, displaying promise that when his number is called, he won’t let this offense down. - Mason Cameron, Pro Football Focus.
Robinson reeled in 31 grabs for 505 yards and seven touchdowns with the Rams last season. The Florida alum's yardage and touchdowns in 2024 both represented career highs.
Robinson joins a group of wide receivers that is headlined by Brandon Aiyuk. Aiyuk registered back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in 2022 and 2023 before suffering an ACL tear early last season.
San Francisco also returns Jauan Jennings after 77 catches for 975 yards and six scores and Ricky Pearsall after 31 grabs for 400 yards with three touchdowns.
Robinson boasts 147 games played and 68 starts in his career. The 6-foot-1, 202 pound receiver has 250 receptions for 3,013 yards and 27 touchdowns over his eight NFL seasons.
