Potential Seahawks free-agent target signs with Browns
The Seattle Seahawksrecently hosted former Chicago Bears guard Teven Jenkins on a free-agent visit. On Thursday, Jenkins signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns, according to a report by Jordan Schultz. The Seahawks have seemingly passed on another opportunity to sign an offensive linemen.
Jenkins started 14 contests for the Bears last campaign. The former second-rounder began his career as a tackle, but eventually made a successful transition to guard. The Seahawks are flush with cap space. General manager John Schneider could have made Jenkins a competitive offer if he possessed legitimate interest. Persistent injury and availability issues could have had the Seahawks second-guessing him.

The Seahawks also recently held fellow free-agent interior offensive linemen Lucas Patrick and Dillon Radunz on similar visits. Patrick possesses ties to offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, and Radunz was previously coached by new Seahawks assistant coach Justin Outten. Schneider could increase his interest in one of them now that Jenkins is off the market.
Schneider is still attempting to improve the interior offensive line this season. Left guard has been left vacant by Laken Tomlinson's departure. Olu Oluwatimi is the starting center, and Anthony Bradford and Christian Haynes appear primed to compete for snaps at right guard again.
