How they got here: District 2 champion Mountain View defeated Canton in the first round, 50-32, and Renaissance Academy in the second round, 45-33. District 11 champion Williams Valley beat Northeast Bradford in the first round, 49-46, and Shalom Christian Academy in the second round, 23-18.
Up next: The winner advances to the semifinals March 21 and faces either District 11 runner-up Marian Catholic or District 5 champion Berlin-Brothersvalley.

Noteworthy: Junior 6-foot-1 Addison Kilmer, the Pennsylvania Class 1A Player of the Year last season, scored Mountain View’s first 15 points and finished with 25 in the second-round win over Renaissance Academy. … Mountain View has won eight straight. … The Lady Eagles are allowing opponents 30.2 points per game. … This is Mountain View’s third straight season reaching the state quarterfinals. The previous two trips were in Class 1A. … Williams Valley won its first District 11 title with a 34-30 victory over Marian Catholic. Ireland Kasper led the way with four 3-pointers and 16 points. … Sage Smeltz scored her 1,000th career point in the District 11 semifinal win over Lincoln Leadership Academy, 65-15. … Mallory Miller scored nine points and Sage Miller seven in the Lady Vikings’ second-round win over Shalom Christian Academy. … Williams Valley’s three losses came against Marian Catholic on Jan. 7, 28-23; Northern Lebanon on Jan. 10, 44-18; and Tamaqua on Feb. 8 in the Schuylkill League quarterfinals, 41-36. Marian (1A) and Northern Lebanon (4A) are quarterfinalists in their respective PIAA tournaments.

How they got here: District 2 champ Dunmore defeated Mount Carmel in the first round, 66-25, and Notre Dame Green Pond in the second round in double overtime, 65-59. District 4 champion Loyalsock beat Biglerville in the first round, 53-20, and West Catholic in the second round, 54-35.

Its two losses came against Scranton Prep, a Class 4A quarterfinalist, and Valley View, which lost in the second round in Class 4A. … Talutto, a University of Scranton commit, scored 29 points in the second-round state win, including 10 in the second overtime. She has career totals of 1,502 points and 179 3-pointers. … Loyalsock is back in the state quarterfinals for the second straight season. It reached the semifinals last season, but lost to eventual state champ Lancaster Catholic. … The Lady Lancers’ 27 wins ties the single-season program record set last season (27-4). … Alaina Dadzie was named Heartland Athletic Conference-III Most Valuable Player. She scored her 1,000th career point Dec. 30 in a 46-38 win over Jersey Shore. In the second round against West Catholic, she had a career-high 36 points. … Joining Dadzie as a HAC-III all-star was Lacey Kriebel on the first team and Julie Ellis on the second team. Jaekairah Harden was honorable mention and made the defensive team. Coach Curtis Jackson was Coach of the Year. … Loyalsock’s two losses have been by a total of three points: 44-42, on Jan. 6 to Crestwood and, 40-39, to Central Columbia on Feb. 14. … The Lady Lancers average 53.7 points and allow 28.7 points.
