There wasn’t much movement among the top 10 players on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup points list at the Texas Children’s Houston Open last week, and leader Rory McIlroy solidified his hold on first with 96.25 points by tying for fifth.
McIlroy leads Sepp Straka by 375 points entering this week’s Valero Texas Open, which begins on Thursday at the TPC San Antonio. McIlroy, Straka and the rest of the top five (Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa and J.J. Spaun) will hold steady since they are not entered in the Tour event the week before the Masters Tournament April 10-13 at Augusta National.
The only displacement among the top 10 was Scottie Scheffler going from 15th to 10th with his tie for second in Houston. Winner Min Woo Lee went from 60th to 16th.
The highest player on the points list in the Texas Open field will be No. 6
