Victor Osimhen has said that Galatasaray ‘will always remain in my heart’ as he prepared to depart at the end of the 2024-25 season, but Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has ruled out the possibility of the Nigeria international joining Juventus in the summer: ‘Never’.
Osimhen is currently on loan with Galatasaray after seeing a big-money move away from Napoli collapse in spectacular fashion on deadline day in the summer transfer window.
He will return to Naples in the summer, but is expected to be sold on. He penned a new contract extension before joining Galatasaray, which means that Napoli still have time to negotiate with interested parties.
Speaking in a recent interview with NTV, reported via TMW, Osimhen commented on his approaching Galatasaray departure: “There are always rumoours about me, but I live in the moment,” he said.
“I’m enjoying all of this. The fans have supported me incredibly. Not just me, but my teammates and family, too. The best decision for everyone will be made. But Galatasaray will always remain in my heart.”
Reports De Laurentiis rules out Juventus move for Osimhen
There is a release clause worth €75m that allows Osimhen to leave for clubs outside Italy, but interested Serie A teams will have to negotiate directly with the Partenopei, and will likely have to pay a premium if they are to snatch him away from a league rival.
Juventus are among the interested parties, as they look to sell and replace Dusan Vlahovic up front. However, Partenopei President De Laurentiis has decided that he is unwilling to negotiate with the Bianconeri.
