The Mets finally get to play at their home ballpark for the first time in 2025 as they play their home opener versus the Blue Jays this afternoon at Citi Field.
Most notable about today's game is the long-awaited home debut of Juan Soto, who makes his first start in Queens as the Mets everyday right fielder after the highly sought after free agent signed a gigantic 15-year, $765 million contract this offseason to leave the Yankees and join the Mets.
Soto already has one home run in his short tenure with the franchise, going deep in the team's first series of the regular season against the Astros.
