The season for Michigan basketball ended just mere days ago with the loss to Auburn in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, but head coach Dusty May is wasting no time working on building the next class.
Even with an uncertain future regarding point guard Tre Donaldson, who just completed his junior year in Ann Arbor following his stint with Auburn, May is bringing in another transfer who can lead the point of attack for the Wolverines. And it's a former star who wasn't in the transfer portal for long.
Elliot Cadeau was a two-year starter for the ballyhooed North Carolina program who averaged 9.4 points per game his freshman year and 7.3 points in his sophomore campaign. Ranked No. 11 overall according to the 247Sports Composite two years ago, the former five-star sought a new opportunity and found one with the maize and blue as he committed to May and the Wolverines on Monday afternoon.

Cadeau will join up in the backcourt with rising star LJ Cason, the true freshman this past year who really came on during the postseason for Michigan basketball, Phat Phat Brooks, and perhaps Nimari Burnett, who has another season of eligibility should he choose it. Cadeau has two years of eligibility remaining.
