New Mexico State’s Fanta Gassama scored 22 points and recorded 8 rebounds. In her return to action, Molly Kaiser collected 20 points in the contest.
NMSU battled until the final moments of the game. Gassama made it a one-point game (66-65) with less than 10 seconds left in the game. NMSU would have to foul NDSU to keep it chances of winning the game alive, but Abby Krezewinski crushed those chances by draining two free throws on the other end to seal the deal for the Bisons.
With the loss, New Mexico State’s 2024-25 season officially came to an end. The Aggies finished 18-16 overall in its third season under the direction of head coach Jody Adams.
The Aggies battled all the way to the end. Despite the loss, history was made this post-season.
