With general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll at the NFL Owners Meetings, the team announced that linebacker Ty Summers had been re-signed.

Summers, 29, entered the league as a seventh-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 2019 NFL draft. He also made stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars (two stints), New Orleans Saints, and Detroit Lions before signing with the Giants' practice squad last August.
The 6-foot-1, 241-pound Summers was elevated multiple times and ultimately promoted to the active roster in late September.
Playing primarily, but not exclusively, on special teams, Summers appeared in 16 games (two starts), recording 29 tackles (13 solo, one for a loss) and one pass defensed for the Giants in 2024. He earned an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 64.0.
