One of the known Michigan State basketball transfer portal targets has committed elsewhere.
Michigan State hasn't been reportedly linked to many players in the transfer portal, but former Iowa Hawkeyes shooting guard Josh Dix was one of those few. He unfortunately will not be joining Michigan State as he announced on Friday that he'll be transferring to Creighton.
Michigan State was one of a few schools that reportedly instantly reached out to Dix after he entered the transfer portal a few weeks ago. He starred for the Hawkeyes as a strong three-point shooter with length as well. He averaged 14.4 points per game and shot 32 percent from three-point range this past season.
A few days ago, Dix was considered by some to be a lean towards Illinois, however, those reports must have been false or something shifted since then. So, if he isn't going to be a Spartan, then at least he didn't end up at a fellow Big Ten school.
