MSU hockey star Isaac Howard throws out first pitch at Cardinals game

It's been a fun couple of days for Michigan State hockey star Isaac Howard.

Howard won the top individual college hockey award on Friday night, becoming the third Spartan in program history to win the Hobey Baker Award. And as part of winning that prestigious honor, he received the privilege to throw out the first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinals game on Saturday.

The Hobey Baker Award ceremony was held in St. Louis on Friday as part of the Frozen Four festivities.

Howard beat out the other two finalists Zeev Buium of Denver and Ryan Leonard of Boston College for the award. Howard was the top player on Michigan State this season, leading the team in points (52), goals (26) and assists (26). He was the Big Ten Player of the Year and also earned Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading the Spartans to a second straight Big Ten Tournament title.
