Masters weather: What is the forecast for Saturday’s third round at Augusta?

Friday’s forecasts for a significant chance of rain disrupting the second round of the Masters at Augusta National were proved wrong by ample sunshine, illustrating that a 40 percent chance of precipitation means there’s a 60 percent chance things will remain dry.

That’s all water under the bridge now, if not very much of it. The forecasts did get one thing right: It was breezy Friday afternoon. And looking forward, the weather forecasters appear to be in agreement that it’s going to be a great weekend.

What is the weather forecast for Saturday?

As of Friday afternoon, AccuWeather was calling for a 1 percent chance of rain for Saturday’s third round of the Masters. That included a high of 67 degrees with breezes at 7 mph out of the northwest and gusts up to 18 mph. Augusta National also does forecasts, and those called for similar conditions as AccuWeather’s predictions.

What is the weather forecast for Sunday?

The final round of this year’s Masters should be a sunny affair. In that Friday afternoon AccuWeather forecast, Sunday featured a zero percent chance of rain with a high of 71.
