Mark your calendar for these 12 Greater Taunton area girls lacrosse games this spring
The sound of sticks clashing and the swish of balls hitting the back of the net can only mean one thing: high school girls lacrosse is back in the Greater Taunton area.
Last year, Dighton-Rehoboth (11-7, 5-4 South Coast Conference) led the way locally, making it to the Division 3 Round of 32 before falling to No. 8 Bedford. Bridgewater-Raynham (7-15, 2-2 Southeast Conference) also qualified for the postseason again, making it to the Division 1 Round of 32 where the Trojans fell to eventual champions No. 1 Central Catholic.
Bristol-Plymouth (4-13, 4-8 Mayflower Athletic Conference) performed season sweeps of both Bristol Aggie and Southeastern while Taunton (0-17, 0-11 Hockomock League) nearly upset the Falcons and Bristol Aggie (0-15, 0-14 MAC) ended the season with their best result against Tri-County.
Ahead of the first games, here's a look at 12 of the most intriguing matchups for Greater Taunton area girls lacrosse teams in 2025.
March 31- Bridgewater-Raynham vs. Attleboro, 3:45 p.m.
The Trojans open up their 2025 home schedule buy hosting the Blue Bombardiers in their first of two matchups, with a return trip to Attleboro set for the regular season finale on May 21. The Bombardiers have performed a season sweep of the Trojans the past two years, though B-R did put a combined 22 goals past them last year. A win here would be a great early season statement against a fellow Division 1 team they could very well see a third time in the postseason.
April 4- Dighton-Rehoboth at Taunton, 3:45 p.m.
The first all-Greater Taunton area matchup of the year sees the Falcons travel to Aleixo "Tiger" Stadium to take on the Tigers. While D-R won their second matchup pretty handily last spring in North Dighton, Taunton nearly pulled off the upset of the season against them at this stadium before ultimately falling 14-10. The Falcons should have the advantage again here, but even after graduating star midfielder Cali Melo, the Tigers should feel encouraged that they can surprise teams at home and prepare them for they face off again at D-R in the regular season finale on May 22.
April 9- Bristol-Plymouth at Bristol Aggie, 3:30 p.m.
Another all-Greater Taunton area matchup, the Craftsmen take a trip to Dighton to face off with Aggie in the first of two MAC clashes, withe the other taking place at Arruda Field on April 29. B-P have won their last five matchups, outscoring BA a combined 24-5 last year, but another year of experience under the belt of a largely young Aggie squad should bode well, and this game would be a great opportunity for them to show their growth. As for the Craftsmen, they'll need to keep up their offensive pressure early and often to keep it out of reach for BA.
April 11- Dighton-Rehoboth vs. Apponequet, 4 p.m.
The Falcons welcome the Lakers for an early but important SCC showdown. Apponequet pulled off the season sweep of D-R last year, but in their second meeting, the Falcons fell short by just a goal. The Lakers have long dominated this series, so expect D-R to be extra motivated to finally take down their league foes, and if they can, it'll send a clear message to the rest of the league that the Falcons are coming for the SCC crown and give them even more confidence when they face off in Lakeville on May 2.
April 18- Dighton-Rehoboth at Bridgewater-Raynham, 12 p.m.
The Greater Taunton area's top two girls lacrosse teams the past few years meet once again for the first of two matchups in a Saturday matinee in Bridgewater. The Trojans performed the season sweep of the Falcons in this series last year and have won three of their four last meetings, but D-R kept it within four goals in a 14-10 loss. Expect the Falcons to be extra determined in this matchup between two very familiar programs, with a win serving as a great confidence and momentum booster going forward.
April 28- Taunton vs. North Attleboro, 3:45 p.m.
The Tigers came their closest to a Hockomock win last year in this contest, though the Red Rocketeers ultimately pulled through for a 13-9 win. That should give Taunton some confidence in this matchup as the team looks to establish itself further in the league and see some new stars emerge.
April 28- Bridgewater-Raynham at Dighton-Rehoboth, 4 p.m.
Just 10 days after their first meeting, the Trojans head to North Dighton for a rematch with the Falcons. Expect the result of the first game to play into this one, giving the losing team extra motivation especially with less than two weeks separating the meeting. Either way, this should prove to be a hard-fought showdown that serves as a good mid-season measuring stick for both programs.
April 30- Bridgewater-Raynham at Bishop Feehan, 4 p.m.
Two day after facing the Falcons, the Trojans travel to Attleboro to take on the Shamrocks. B-R fell by just a goal, 10-9, to Feehan when the two met in Bridgewater last year, so expect another hard-fought, close game between two solid Division 1 programs that could meet again come tournament time. A win here, especially if it comes off the back of a win over D-R, could prove a nice boost for the Trojans in the power rankings and do well for their confidence heading into May.

May 6- Bristol Aggie vs. Sturgis East, 3:30 p.m.
Last year, Aggie scored a season-high eight goals in this matchup before ultimately falling 18-8 to the Storm. This year, BA has more experience under their belt and should feel confident in their ability to build on that tally and stay in the game with Sturgis East. If Aggie can long enough, they should like their chances of landing in the win column here.
May 12- Bristol-Plymouth vs. Southeastern, 4 p.m.
The Craftsmen pulled off the season sweep of the Hawks last year in this contest, taking their first meeting 8-7 in Easton before scoring a 10-5 win at Arruda Field. The two will face off on first on April 4, and both games should prove good opportunities for B-P to score solid MAC wins and showcase their growth.
May 12- Dighton-Rehoboth vs. Norton, 6 p.m.
The Falcons play host to the Lancers in a late season Division 3 showdown under the lights of the Dighton-Rehoboth football field. D-R pulled off the season sweep of Norton last year, but both games finished 13-12, so the Falcons will be prepared for another hard-fought battle. While the two will face off in Norton on April 2, this game being so late for the season makes it a must win for two Division 3 programs looking to secure their place in the postseason, where they could very well meet for a third time.
May 21- Taunton vs. New Bedford, 4 p.m.
The Tigers wrap up the regular season hosting the Whalers, who they put up a joint season-best 11 goals against last year in their second meeting. Expect Taunton to carry that energy into this non-league rivalry and do their best to end the season with a bang.
