BATON ROUGE – Fans will get their first look at the 2025 LSU football team, albeit in a less conventional way Saturday morning.
The team will conduct an open practice and scrimmage inside Tiger Stadium with things officially starting around 10:30 before the scrimmage kicks off at 11 a.m.
Brian Kelly announced a few weeks ago that he intended on diverting LSU from the typical spring football game, citing that in years past the team basically had to lose a practice due to going over procedurals and logistics for the spring game.
LSU will have an autograph session for fans following the conclusion of the scrimmage Saturday.
There are a few position group with story lines ahead of Saturday's showcase. Offensive line has some young guys that have been with the program for at least a year with some experienced transfers behind them vying for playing time.
Safety and cornerback are also positions that will be intriguing to watch in a competitive format.
