After sweeping Mississippi State, LSU baseball wanted to carry that success into Tuesday night's game against Louisiana Tech. LSU did that as they scored 12 runs to beat the Bulldogs.
In the bottom of the first inning, LSU's bats picked up right where they left off on Saturday night. LSU scored four runs as Danny Dickinson hit an RBI double, Ethan Frey hit a sacrifice fly, and Cade Arrambide hit a two-RBI single to give LSU a 4-0 lead.
William Schmidt got the start on the mound and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs were able to score a run on him in the top of the second inning to cut the lead to 4-1. In the bottom of the second inning, LSU got that run back as Jared Jones hit a solo shot to left field to make it 5-1 Tigers.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Frey hit a solo homer to extend the lead to 6-1 LSU. Cooper Williams entered to replace Schmidt after 2.2 innings where he gave up one run on three hits, two strikeouts, and one walk. Williams entered and pitched two complete innings and did not allow any runs on one hit, zero strikeouts, and two walks.
Mavrick Rizy then entered to pitch and did not give up any runs over 1.1 innings even though he gave up one hit and recorded one strikeout and no walks. DJ Primeaux would enter the game to pitch in the top of the seventh.

The Bulldogs properly greeted Primeaux with a solo homer to cut the lead to 6-2. Primeaux then retired the next two hitters before being pulled from the game in favor of Connor Benge. Benge retired the only hitter he faced in the top of the seventh and we went to the bottom of the seventh with LSU leading 6-2.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, LSU loaded the bases with no outs as the Tigers looked to do some damage.
Frey hit an RBI single, Stephen Milam hit an RBI single, John Pearson entered the game and hit a sacrifice fly, and Arrambide hit a sacrifice fly to increase the LSU lead to 10-2.
