Lightning Have Big Test In Matchup Against Stars
The Tampa Bay Lightning will be facing off against the Dallas Stars on March 20. Their goal will be to stay hot after winning each of their last two games against the Boston Bruins and then the Philadelphia Flyers.
However, there is no question that this matchup against the Stars will be a big test for the Lightning.
The Stars are entering this contest with an impressive 43-21-3 record and 89 points. With this, only the Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets have more points than the Stars in the NHL standings. Thus, the Stars are easily one of the league's top contenders, and the Lightning will need to be on their A-game against them because of it.
This game is also quite significant for the Lightning, as they are currently two points behind both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers in the Atlantic Division standings. Thus, they need every win they can get right now as they try to gain home-ice advantage for the start of the playoffs.
Overall, a win against the Stars would certainly be a great way for the Lightning to make a statement. It will be fascinating to see if they can defeat the Central Division club from here.
