The Los Angeles Lakers face a big game that carries heavy playoff implications on Saturday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies to end a four-game road trip.
They have lost eight of their last 12 games and find themselves with a 44-29 record, which is the same exact record Memphis holds. The Lakers are in fourth place in the Western Conference, one spot ahead of Memphis, since they currently lead the season series against Memphis two games to one.
A loss in this game would perhaps doom L.A.'s attempts to have home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. A win, however, would perhaps keep its hopes for getting at least the third seed somewhat alive.
