Check out who was named Bucks County high school boys wrestling Coach of the Year
Four years ago, at the end of the 2020-21 wrestling season, Faith Christian head coach Ben Clymer took his team to Hershey for the PIAA Class 2A individual tournament.
The "team" consisted of then junior Eric Alderfer, who would place fourth (after an eighth-place showing as a sophomore), helping the Lions to 37th place in the team standings.
10 Faith Christian wrestlers win PIAA medals
Four years later, the team Clymer took to Hershey consisted of 10 Lions and four of them won PIAA gold medals; two won silver; three won bronze; and one placed fifth.
Yep, 10 qualifiers, 10 medals (and the four golds also tied a PIAA record for most individual champions in one season regardless of classification).
Faith Christian also set a PIAA record by piling up 232.5 team points.
On top of all that, the Lions ended the season as the No. 1-ranked team in the country.

Faith Christian's Clymer named Bucks County Coach of the Year
For all of the accomplishments, Clymer has been named the Courier Times/Intelligencer Coach of the Year.
"I was just thrilled with the season and blessed to be one of the coaches," Clymer said. "Just watching this group go after their big goals while still making the little things important was great to see.
"It's not all just wrestling for them. They're the most likeable, high-character group I've ever been around and this season was so much fun on so many different fronts.
"And the success they all had is amazing and I couldn't be happier for them."
Clymer, a 2008 PIAA state champ as a senior at Northwestern Lehigh, has been the school's head coach for 11 seasons and the Lions have finished above .500 in each of the last seven years.

Over the last four years, wrestling a rugged national schedule, the Lions have gone 57-9.
"The kids that have come into our program, and come through our youth program, have been really dedicated and they want to excel," Clymer said.
"I've just been fortunate to be able to watch the growth of the program and work with great kids."
