Rebecca Knaak says one of her reasons for joining City was to play with elite footballers.
The City defender was speaking on the latest episode of the Official Man City Podcast which will be available to watch on CITY+ this evening at 18:00 (UK).
After making her debut against Ipswich Town in the FA Cup it's been a busy few months for Knaak as she also played a huge part in our Women's Super League derby day.
The defender rose the highest to powerfully nod home from a corner on her WSL debut, before being named in defence for our League Cup quarter-final match up with our cross-city rivals.
Asked on the Official Man City Podcast about her goals, Knaak replied: "My ambition was to compete with the best.

"I wanted to see what I can do under pressure and how I could adapt to the league [WSL].
"I liked it even though some of the situations were uncomfortable, but that's where you grow."
Nick Cushing's side have just four WSL games left in the 2024/25 campaign and a place in the FA Cup semi-finals against Manchester United.
For Knaak, who previously played in the Swedish Damallsvenskan and Germany's Frauen Bundesliga she described the difference in level that the WSL has to offer.
She added: "The whole league is bigger in every dimension and then also the quality is a bit higher too.
"The opponents you meet there's no team with average players and I think everyone has experienced and national team players.
"I think that was a big difference as well as the intensity and tempo."
