Memphis Grizzlies superstar guard Ja Morant might get into trouble with the NBA after making a finger gun gesture to celebrate a 3-pointer during Thursday night's away game against the Miami Heat.
After being warned by the league against this very gesturefor a similar incident from Tuesday, Morant will probably face a fine or even a brief suspension for a repeat offense so soon after said warning.
Morant sat for a lengthy suspension in 2023 for brandishing a gun on Instagram Live and was alleged to be involved in a separate 2023 gun-related incident that spilled over from a feud with the Indiana Pacers.
While he is one of the truly elite players in the NBA, Morant's boneheaded celebration might land him a hefty fine or force him to miss a game or two. Is he just not getting the message? Is he just trolling at this point?
No matter what, Morant will probably get more than just a warning this time from the NBA.
