Canucks Gameday Preview #69: A Game 7 Feel Against The St. Louis Blues
The Vancouver Canucks (32-25-11) kick off a six-game road trip on Thursday when they face the St. Louis Blues (34-28-7). This is a crucial game for both teams, as a regulation loss by either side could be catastrophic to their postseason dreams. Vancouver and St. Louis have split the two-game season series so far, with the Canucks holding a slight edge as their loss came in overtime.

The Vancouver Canucks’ Penalty Leaderboard
For Vancouver to be successful, they need to cash in on the power play. While the Blues do have the 29th-ranked penalty kill in the league, they have been good of late and have gone five straight games without allowing a goal. If the Canucks can get at least one with the man advantage, it could be the difference between winning and losing this game.
Players to Watch:
Brock Boeser:
After a three-point night against the Winnipeg Jets, Brock Boeser sits one goal shy of 200 for his career. If he scores on Thursday, he will become just the ninth player in franchise history to achieve the milestone. Projected to play on both the top line and top power play unit, Boeser may need to replicate his performance from Tuesday in order for Vancouver to skate away with a victory.
Cam Fowler:
The acquisition of Cam Fowler has worked wonders for St. Louis. The 33-year-old defender has 25 points in 38 games and is averaging over 22 minutes a night. Fowler knows the Canucks well from his days in the Pacific Division and should be a pain to play against at both ends of the ice.
