The Sooners put their undefeated season on the line against an East Texas A&M squad that is 7-21 but are coming off of a three-game sweep of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi over the weekend. They've been run-ruled 10 times on the season with their most lopsided loss coming at the hands of the Kansas Jayhawks back on March 1 when the Jayhawks beat East Texas A&M 23-0 at the Oklahoma Omni Classic. They were also shutout 8-0 by Abilene Christian and lost a pair of games to Iowa earlier this year.
On paper, this one looks like a significant mismatch but the Sooners are a young team coming off of an emotional series sweep of Arkansas. Can they stay locked in to take care of business against East Texas A&M?

After Sam Landry threw 11.1 innings this weekend against Arkansas, I'd imagine Patty Gasso will elect to rest her against East Texas A&M. Audrey Lowry is recovering from injury, which means Isabela Smith or Kierston Deal will likely get the start. Look for bounce-back performances from the veteran pitchers, whoever gets the ball to start the game.
At the plate, the Oklahoma Sooners are extra base hit machines. They showed how quickly they can jump on a team with six-run innings in the first and last game against Arkansas. Gabbie Garcia will extend her hitting streak to 13 games and Ella Parker will hit her first home run in 10 games as the Sooners create fireworks and walk away with a comfortable win.
