Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher joins elite company after career performance

Zaccharie Risacher turned in a career performance on Sunday and joined an elite list of players in history, leading the Atlanta Hawks to a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Risacher produced 36 points, six rebounds and one steal in the 145-124 victory at Fiserv Forum. He finished by shooting 12-of-21 from the field, including 5-of-11 from 3-point range, in 34 minutes as the Hawks clinched, at worst, a spot in the play-in tournament.

We believe in him as a coaching staff and I know his teammates believe in him, too."

Risacher is averaging 12.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 35% shooting from 3-point range in 67 games with the Hawks. He is second among all rookies in total scoring (832) and is the only first-year player with three 30-point games this season.

The Frenchman was the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for February, becoming the sixth Hawks player to win. He was the second rookie this season to record at least 150 points and 50 rebounds while committing fewer than 15 turnovers in 300 minutes in a month.

Risacher in January became the first teenager to have multiple 30-point, zero-turnover games and is one of 17 players to achieve that feat this season. He is also one of eight players ...
