Haason Reddick ready to move on from 'bizarre' 2024 season
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a signing this past week that fans and media are torn on. The free agent signing of edge rusher Haason Reddick was seen as one that could either bite the Bucs in the end or be a huge payoff. Either way, the veteran edge rusher is ready for a new start after a forgettable 2024 season.
Haason Reddick was introduced to the media last week and declared he was ready to move on from a "bizarre" 2024 season.
"It's a fresh start, I know everybody's worried about last year, but last year was last year. I'm here now, different mindset, different space. I'm just ready to put the past behind me and continue to move forward. And what better place to do that than right here?"
Reddick requested a trade last offseason while a member of the Jets after being traded to them from the Cardinals. The result was a lengthy holdout for Reddick, a changing of agents, and a new restructured contract with the Jets, with whom he played 10 games.
Now, as a member of the Bucs, Reddick will be playing on a contract he wants and will participate in an entire offseason. Both he and the Bucs hope he can return to his former All-Pro self and boost the team's pass-rush ability.
