Celtics Lab 310: On all-female broadcast crews and covering the Celtics with Abby Chin
The Boston Celtics game against the Brooklyn Nets this Tuesday (March 18) night at TD Garden will have some history to it, with the broadcast crew for the home tilt against Boston's Eastern Conference foes to be just the second-ever all-female broadcast crew to cover a Celtics game. The full NBC Sports Boston crew features Abby Chin on play by play, Kayla Burton as the studio host, Jackie MacMullan and Diamond DeShields as the game analysts, and Jen Rizzotti and Ashley Battle as studio analysts.
To that end, the hosts of the CLNS Media "Celtics Lab" podcast, Cameron Tabatabaie, and Justin Quinn (Alex Goldberg DNP - schedule conflict) linked up with Abby to talk about the broadcast, it's importance, and covering the league as a woman from several different angles.
Don't miss this special episode -- and if you have ideas what Abby should use for a signature call (think Mike Gorman's 'Got it!'), be sure to let us know. We also get caught up on all the latest news, so be sure to tune in.
Celtics Lab is brought to you by Prize Picks and Gametime.
If you enjoy this pod, check out the "How Bout Them Celtics," "First to the Floor," "Celtics Lab," and the many other New England sports podcasts available on the CLNS Media network.
