Golden State Warriors sign former lottery pick until the end of the season
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the Golden State Warriors have signed Kevin Knox to a full-scale contract for the remainder of the season. Knox has been with the team courtesy of two 10-day contracts, where he's clearly done enough to impress the coaching staff.
Knox, a former lottery pick by the New York Knicks, has played in seven games for Steve Kerr's team over the past few weeks, averaging 4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.3 minutes per game.
Adding Knox to Kerr's roster ensures the Warriors have significant front-court depth as they head into the postseason. At 6-foot-7, the 25-year-old has good size for his position, allowing him to be a viable rotation piece on both sides of the floor if required.

Knox has a reasonable amount of NBA experience, having played in 313 regular-season games. While he will be a deep bench piece and has been signed as an insurance policy, Knox's lack of postseason experience could become a concern if Kerr is forced to lean on him for significant periods. While it's not glamorous, adding Knox is a smart move by Mike Dunleavy Jr., after all, high-level insurance is never a bad thing.
