Going to the Ohio State football spring game? Here's how you can park for free

Going to the Ohio State Buckeyes spring game on Saturday? You might not have to break the bank to park.

The last of the 15 spring practices will involve a spring game on April 12, an annual intrasquad scrimmage for the Buckeyes. It's the team's first appearance on the field after winning the College Football Playoff national championship in January.  

The game had briefly been rebranded as a spring showcase, but Ohio State announced this week it would stick with the spring game branding and format.

How to get free parking on Saturday:

Where can you park for the Ohio State spring game?

Most lots and garages on campus are free for the Ohio State spring game. You can see a map of available free parking on the Ohio State Buckeye website.

The free parking options closest to the stadium include the lots surrounding the Saint John Arena, and the Lane and Tuttle Avenue garages.

Where you can pay to park:

All "Day of Game" spaces are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis on Saturdays.

Advanced pre-sale parking of the West Stadium Lot is available through Ticketmaster.com. All "Day of Game" lots and garages open at 7 a.m. each football Saturday.

Paid and free street parking will also be available in the University District area.

Saturday's spring game schedule

  • 9 a.m. to Noon: - Fan Fest starts:   Located in Remembrance Park on the corner of Woody Hayes and Archie Griffin Drive, Fan Fest will feature live entertainment, food and beverage, plus fan activations and giveaways.
  • 10 a.m. - Team Shop opens
  • 10 a.m. - Gates open
  • 10:45 a.m. - Team Arrives
  • Noon - Kickoff
