German women's coach Christian Wück was happy with a clean sheet in a 4-0 Nations League victory in Scotland although he saw room for improvement in Tuesday's reverse fixture and beyond.
Germany were far from glorious in the first half in Dundee on Friday night despite going 2-0 up from Elisa Senss in the opening minute and an own goal by Sophie Howard.
The second half was better and two more strikes within three minutes from Cora Zicai and Lea Schüller settled the affair in Dundee in favour of the Group A1 leaders.
"Let's say: we kept a clean sheet, and all is good," Wück told broadcasters ZDF.
Wück was furious with his players on several occasions in the first half, saying that "we weren't precise enough" and speaking of "too many easy mistakes."
Sanss admitted that "we were a little too static" in the first half but then "much more dynamic after the break."
Germany host Scotland on Tuesday in Wolfsburg before final matches against the Netherlands on May 20 and Austria on June 3.
They are also the last matches ahead of Euro 2025 in July in Switzerland, where Germany play Denmark, Poland and Sweden in the group stage.
"Not everything is perfect, but I think we took another good step towards the Euros," captain Giulia Gwinn said.
