Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse is projected to be the last player selected in the 2025 NFL draft. ESPN's Matt Miller (subscription required) predicts that Stackhouse will be the No. 257 pick in the draft (seventh-round).
If Stackhouse ends up being drafted No. 257, then he would be Mr. Irrelevant, which is what the final pick in the draft is named. Most players that end up as the final pick in the draft don't end up having notable NFL careers. However, one major exception is San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Brock Purdy, who was the final pick in the 2022 NFL draft.
Georgia has not had a Mr. Irrelevant since the 2020 NFL draft when the New York Giants selected Georgia linebacker Tae Crowder. Crowder went on to have a solid, productive NFL career, but is now in the United Football League (UFL).
So what does Stackhouse's draft projection mean? Well, for one thing in means that there's a decent chance he goes undrafted. Stackhouse is part of a strong defensive line class, but still should be able to contribute at the NFL level. However, it appears that he's not expected to be drafted until Day 3.
The 2025 NFL draft will be held April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
