Four-star edge rusher Zavion Griffin-Haynes names top schools

The Georgia Bulldogs are among the top schools for another elite recruit. Four-star edge rusher Zavion Griffin-Haynesnarrowed his top schools list down to 11 schools. He also included North Carolina, Texas, Miami, Florida, Alabama, NC State, LSU, Ohio State,Notre Dame, and Florida State in his top schools, according to Hayes Fawcett.

Griffin-Haynes is a four-star edge rusher from the class of 2026. The 6-foot-6, 235-pound edge rusher plays football at Rolesville High School in Rolesville, North Carolina. Griffin-Haynes originally committed to North Carolina in September 2024, but two months later, he decommitted.

He has already scheduled an official visit to Georgia's campus for June 6, 2025. He'll also be officially visiting NC State, Notre Dame, and Florida.

Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart still have a lot of recruiting work to do. They recently landed a commitment from four-star wide receiver Brady Marchese. However, he is just the sixth recruit Georgia has earned a commitment from in the 2026 cycle.

Griffin-Haynes is ranked as the No. 31 edge rusher in the class of 2026, along with the No. 16 ranked prospect from North Carolina.
