Former Barcelona star sends message to Hansi Flick after Atlético clash

A one-time member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona last night made use of the opportunity to send a message of support the way of Hansi Flick.

Barcelona were of course back in action on Sunday, making the trip to Spain’s capital for a league showdown with Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of the result, recovering from two goals down to ultimately triumph 4-2.

As much has seen the Catalans take back control of the La Liga title race, sitting joint-top with Real Madrid, but boasting a crucial game in hand.

And one individual who was left delighted by such developments was ex-Barca midfielder Rafinha.

Speaking as part of DAZN’s post-match coverage at the Metropolitano on Sunday, Brazilian Rafinha made use of the opportunity to send the following personal message to Hansi Flick:

“Congratulations on this big win. I’m very happy for you as a Barça fan. I hope you win the league.”

Barcelona’s headmaster, in turn, responded:

“We will do our best and fight until the end.”
