Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert will have a new face in the quarterback room when training camp opens in Los Angeles.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, former San Francisco 49ers first-round pick, Trey Lance, has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $6.2 million deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. Lance will join veteran quarterback Taylor Heinicke as a backup to Herbert in Harbaugh's offense.
