Leeds United will be without star centre-back Pascal Struijk for the remainder of the season after suffering a foot fracture.

The Dutch defender was withdrawn in the 86th minute of Leeds United's 1-1 draw with Luton Town last Saturday but will not feature again this campaign.

According to Sky Sports News, Struijk has suffered a fractured foot at what is a crucial time for the Whites.

Daniel Farke's team are currently top of the Championship after taking advantage of both Burnley and Sheffield United dropping points midweek.

However, Struijk's absence will be a blow to Leeds in their five remaining league fixtures as they hope to earn automatic promotion.

The 25-year-old has featured 35 times for the club in the Championship this season and chipped in with five goals – including a brace in a 2-1 win over Sunderland back in February.
