The schedule is set for the Jacksonville Icemen's first-round games in the Kelly Cup playoffs, on course to begin in one and a half weeks.
Although Jacksonville's first-round opponent remains to be determined, with the Florida Everblades and the South Carolina Stingrays as possibilities, the game dates and times are confirmed.
The Icemen, who will not have home ice advantage for the best-of-7 first round, will play at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Game 3 at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23; in Game 4 at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24; and, if necessary, in Game 5 at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27.
Road games will be Games 1 and 2 on April 18 and 19 and, if necessary, Games 6 and 7 on April 29 and 30. All of the road games will begin at 7 p.m., whether at the Everblades or Stingrays. Florida and South Carolina were separated by only one point entering the weekend.
The Everblades have won the last three Kelly Cup championships, eliminating the Icemen in the playoffs on each occasion. Jacksonville has yet to advance beyond the second round in the ECHL postseason.
If the Icemen win their opening-round series, the ECHL second round is scheduled for May 2-14.
