There hasn't been much movement on the Chicago Bears' new stadium, which has come down to Arlington Heights and downtown Chicago. And while president/CEO Kevin Warren didn't have any updates, he appeared to hint at a clearer picture of the plans.
In an interview with "Pro Football Talk" at the NFL Owners Meetings, Warren sounded like someone who was confident and knew the direction the team was headed and their new stadium. He discussed the Bears' stadium plans, including the potential move to Arlington Heights, relocating the team away from the city of Chicago.
Warren shared his admiration for the land they have on the lakefront of Chicago but then spoke on the team purchasing 326 acres of land in Arlington Heights. The two locations are the only two in consideration for the Bears next stadium, and it's starting to sound more like the suburban location will be the next home of the team.

If it wasn’t clear before it is now. Arlington Heights will be the future home of the Chicago Bears. #Bears#ChicagoBearspic.twitter.com/MX8Y7ZYCLO
"This land is absolutely beautiful, it's a great piece of land," Warren said. "We are the largest land owner in Arlington Heights so I'm excited about that. In Arlington Heights you're talking about the possibility of building a small city, with hotels, housing, to be able to do something in the part of town.
"The interesting thing about is that there are not many spaces (around Chicago) that can handle a stadium and so it is really down to the museum camp somewhere downtown and Arlington Heights. I'm interested, I'm excited about the new mayor in Arlington Heights, and being the biggest land owner. We've made a lot of progress there with all the tax certainty we've been able to get as well."
Although there was no direct answer from Warren, he sounded full of excitement when talking about the Arlington Heights location, and as things continue to progress, there should be an answer in the coming months about the direction of the team's stadium plans.
