David Andrews comments on NFL future after being released by Patriots
Former longtime team captain David Andrews discussed his future following his release from the New England Patriots.
Some have wondered if he's retiring from football or considering joining another team in need of a two-time Super Bowl champion center.
When speaking on "The Quick Snap Podcast," Andrews never completely ruled out the idea of playing elsewhere, but at the same time, he also doesn't plan on rushing into anything at the moment.
“I still love the organization. I still love the community," said Andrews. "We're still here, we don’t have any plans to make any drastic moves right now. Just depending on different situations, and it is home right now. And the boys, our oldest is in a little school program, he loves it.
"He's starting T-ball this spring so no drastic change in our life. We are not ready to pick up and move at the drop of a hat. We weren’t going to do that, no matter what, unless, like I said, some different situations come up. But I'm just trying to figure it all out.”

Andrews had a meteoric rise to becoming one of the best offensive linemen in Patriots history.
He went undrafted in 2015 but quickly established himself as a key component on the offensive line. By the end of his run, he was an eight-time team captain.
His absence will certainly be felt on the offensive line, as the Patriots look to reshuffle that unit moving forward. It just speaks to the nature of the business in the NFL, and how nothing lasts forever.
At the same time, it sounds as though Andrews will remain a part of the greater New England community for at least a little while longer.
