Dan Hurley weeped while talking about his pride for UConn’s players after tough second-round loss
UConn men's basketball turned in a valiant effort against No. 1 seed Florida in the second round on Sunday, but it was ultimately not enough for Liam McNeeley and Co. The two-time defending champions' reign is over after winning 13 consecutive men's NCAA tournament games — one of the more dominant runs in March history.
After the loss, head coach Dan Hurley, who had some choice words for the refs while walking off the court, talked to CBS's Tracy Wolfson about the end of the Huskies' season. A crying Hurley was overcome with emotion while discussing his tremendous pride for what was apparently one of his favorite teams as a coach.
Even after a tough defeat, it's clear Hurley has a lot of love and admiration for his players and his program.
