Crarey wants Barrow to keep 'riding wave' at top
Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey wants his team to keep riding their early season wave as they sit top of the Championship.
The Raiders made it three wins out of four to start the campaign as they secured a surprise 18-8 win at much-fancied Bradford Bulls.
Having finished one point and one place above the relegation play-off spot in 2024, it is a big upturn in fortunes.
"We've got a well-balanced side this year," Crarey told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"Some weeks we'll be talking about how badly we've played but at the moment we are talking about how well we've played and we've got to ride that wave and breed confidence."
Barrow were fourth in 2022, but finished in 10th in 2023 and 11th last season.
But in a division with more fancied ex-Super League sides including Bradford, Toulouse, Widnes Vikings and Halifax Panthers, Crarey said that his men would not be afraid to ruffle a few more feathers.
"We're not afraid of anyone and we're not afraid to play," he said.
"We've come here and got an unbelievable result. We turned up, gave it our best shot and came out on the right end of the scoreline."
