We're one month out from the 2025 NFL Draft, and it appears the Indianapolis Colts' possibilities have expanded. Some of the latest mock drafts remain firm on tight ends Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland, but free agency has left the Colts with holes on the offensive line and at edge rusher.
Key additions: Charvarius Ward, CB; Camryn Bynum, S; Daniel Jones, QB.
Key losses: Dayo Odeyingbo, edge; Will Fries, G; Ryan Kelly, C.
Colts mock drafts: Who will the Indianapolis Colts pick in the first round of the 2025 draft?
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Tyler Booker, OL, Alabama
"They have a hole at right guard and Booker might be the best offensive lineman in this class. The Colts could pair him with Quentin Nelson to give them a power set of guards. It's not sexy, but he will be a 10-year starter."
Chad Reuter, NFL.com: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
In terms of play style, Loveland is more comparable to 2024 first-round pick Brock Bowers than Tyler Warren. The Michigan product missed a chunk of last season with a shoulder injury, but the Colts could see a weapon who can win with size, quickness and savviness against defensive backs and linebackers.
Round 2: Jack Sawyer, edge, Ohio State; Round 3: Tate Ratledge, G, Georgia; Round 4: Barrett Carter, LB, Clemson
Nate Tice, Charles McDonald, Yahoo: Mykel Williams, edge, Georgia
"The Colts drafted Laiatu Latu in the first round last year, but they still could stand to add another player off the edge. Williams is more of a power player than a finesse rusher, but he would be a great addition to a Colts defense that lost edge rusher Dayo Odeyingbo to the Bears in free agency this year."
Mike Tannenbaum, ESPN: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
"This is a crucial year for the Colts. It's time to put some playmakers around Anthony Richardson (or Daniel Jones, who I assume will eventually get some starts). Warren has a rare skill set at tight end. He's 6-foot-6 and extremely talented. He had a remarkable 104 catches last season, and I envision Indy coach Shane Steichen moving him all around the offense to create matchup mismatches. The Colts had the second-fewest receiving yards from tight ends of any team last season (467), but Warren could push them toward the top of that list pretty quickly."
Ben Standig, The Athletic: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
"Whether Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones wins the starting quarterback job, the Colts are overdue to add more weapons on offense. The tight end corps is particularly unimpressive. The 6-6 Loveland puts a tall target on the field, one capable of running receiver routes."
Nicholas Mullick, Stadium Rant: Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State
"This pick could go in any direction, as the Colts have so many team needs. Whether on offense or defense it’s hard not to see why they would go in that direction. The Colts desperately need to improve their secondary, though. There are a lot of talented prospects in this class, and one not often talked about is Azareye’h Thomas from Florida State. He is physical, athletic, and has strong coverage skills to have a long career in the NFL. He would even fit the Colts' defensive scheme very well."
Kyle Crabbs, 33rd Team: Grey Zabel, G, North Dakota State
"Indianapolis has been a team whose identity frequently has lived and died with the offensive line. Zabel's selection here helps in more ways than one. He serves as a potential replacement for Will Fries at guard and as insurance for any regression by Tanor Bortolini, assuring that the Colts' strength up front remains a strength."
