Indianapolis Colts go OL heavy in latest 3-round 2025 NFL mock draft
Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports put together his latest 2025 NFL mock draft, and it was a three-rounder. So, let's break down each of the Indianapolis Colts' selections with our instant reactions to each pick.
Pick 14: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
No surprise here--an obvious pick for the Colts. Warren can not only provide the passing game presence the Colts need from the tight end position after totaling over 1,200 yards last season, but his well-rounded skill set allows him to impact the game in a variety of ways.
Pre-snap, Warren can line up across the formation, including in the backfield, while he is also a very capable run-blocker. That do-it-all presence at tight end can add a layer of unpredictability to an offense and not only create opportunities for Warren to exploit, but others as well.
Pick 45: Jonah Savaiinaea, OL, Arizona
I haven't seen a mock with the Colts taking Savaiinaea this early, but I like the versatility he adds to the offensive line having played both tackle spots along with nearly 1,000 career snaps at right guard as well.
This past season, he was one of PFF's higher-graded pass-blockers, allowing four sacks and 15 pressures over 478 pass-blocking snaps. Without Will Fries and Matt Goncalves presumably moving from tackle to guard, the Colts need both interior depth--not to mention that competition wouldn't be a bad idea--and to find a new swing tackle.
Pick 80: Jared Wilson, C, Georgia
I'm not sure how two offensive line picks in the top 100 will be received, but I don't hate it. Any chance of sustained success for whoever the Colts' quarterback is starts with good offensive line play and right now there are some unknowns, particularly around the depth and the overall competition on the roster among this position group.
Wilson started at center this past season. He didn't allow a sack and gave up only six pressures over 511 pass-blocking snaps. He also graded out quite well as a run blocker.
He could compete with Danny Pinter for that backup center spot behind Tanor Bortolini.
