Class of 2027 Quarterback Sends Clear 3-Word Message to Sherrone Moore, Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines are heading into the 2025 college football season with a clean slate after their disappointing yet thrilling 2024 campaign that saw them beat their rivals but still lose five games.

The quarterback position became the Achilles heel for the Wolverines last year, evidenced by their near-loss to Ohio State in a game when starting quarterback Davis Warren threw for less than 100 yards.

On Tuesday, the Wolverines' quest to upgrade the quarterback room got what appeared to be a positive message from a Class of 2027 star who could be just what the doctor ordered for life post-Bryce Underwood in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

"Love catching up with big bros @BryceUnderwoo16, @lMarion_Stewart, @1dubshow today, @UMichFootball practice," Class of 2027 four-star quarterback Trae Taylor said in an X post.

"All questions answered," Taylor added, name-dropping Michigan coach Sherrone Moore and offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey.

Taylor is a 6-foot-2 1/2, 190 pound prospect from Carmel Catholic High School in Lake in the Hills, Illinois.

With offers from Michigan State, LSU, Maryland, Nebraska and others, Michigan will have an uphill battle in trying to bring him to Ann Arbor, possibly to become Underwood's successor after the Class of 2025 superstar inevitably goes to the next level, if all goes according to plan for Underwood and the Wolverines.

A scholarship offer is on the table according to reporter Brice Marich.

"I can commit at anytime I like," Taylor said. "They would accept it, but also let me know if one of (the) other quarterbacks (Sherrone Moore) he likes calls and commits, then he would take those as well."
